See this fella.....he doesn't get enough face time on this blog.
So since I have neglected him for so long, it is my great pleasure to be the one to announce the big family news!! I know....I know.....it's not thee "official fancy fire test" announcement letter but I was so excited to spread the news that I couldn't wait for the real deal and had to come up with a little something on my own. I'm sure the real letter looks pretty close to this one though.

Way to go Uncle Boyd!

Showing me some love

I am surrounded by a lot of love and support at the courthouse and I work with the bestest girls EVER! It will be my Mom-avisary in a couple of weeks and Teresa gave me this very sweet pink breast cancer ribbon bracelet. I'm kind of a major sap when it comes to this stuff.
Thank you, Teresa, for being so thoughtful of this special time.

We Par-Teed!

For Elvis and Kristy's birthday, we had an old fashioned girls night out by throwing back some drinks, downing some grub. and watching some football.

And by throwing back some drinks I mean a whole lotta Diet Coke. Well actually, that was just me. They had "a" Diet Coke. I had three by the time the girl took our order. What can I say---I'm the heavy drinker in the group. I may have a drinking problem.

And by downing some grub I mean we delicately nibbled on chicken salad sandwiches and vegetarian pasta salad. I'm sure it was a nasty sight.

And by watching some football I mean we went to see the Blind Side. I am not a lover of movies but I gotta say that that was one of the best movies ever. I want to be Leigh Anne Touhy/Sandra Bullock when I grow up.

I had a blast! I wished you had a birthday at least once a month Kristy! Happy birthday!

Let's Dance

Lydon's Winter Dance picture.
I was hoping you could get a good glimpse of that awesome musical Santa tie that I got for him. I think that boy has his hands positioned in front of my tie on purpose. He acts like I embarrass him or something.

For Sale--CHEAP

I am pretty sure that Timmy and I are old enough that we can now go out on a date and not have to hire a babysitter. I mean, we've paid our dues.....Lydon's almost 18. Aaron's 14. Our babysitting days should be long gone. We should be free. We are practically empty nesters.

WRONG!!! We have dogs. Dogs that do this to my furniture. Dogs that do this to my cute leather furniture while we are on a date.

I like cats.

Happy Birthday Kambrie Marie

Kambrie is one month old (as of yesterday)
I bet this baby was smothered with angel kisses by her Grandma Billie and Aunt Boody yesterday.

Happy Birthday Elvis

Dear Don and Carol: I think it would have been so cool if you would have named her Elvis instead of Kristi :)
Happy Birthday Kristi. Can't wait to get out and celebrate tonight!

Politcally Star Struck

Our sweet little county got a visit from some big time politicians today. Senator Bob Bennet was a special guest star at our new fairground road ribbon cutting ceremony.

First he spent some alone time with us local elected officials talking local elected politics and economical developmental stuff. (also known as donut and juice time)

And then off to the fairground road ribbon cutting. Someone forgot to turn on the heat because it was way toooo cold. Take a moment to appreciate the giant ribbon cutting scissors that were hand crafted by the very hand crafty Dale Lake.
Did I mention how very very cold it was? Because at this point the Senator was ready to bolt for a warmer climate.
That was until I rushed the poor fella and asked him for a fellow elected official photo op. I think his exact reaction was: "My, you are a tall girl". I took that as a yes to my request for a photo.
While he was still memorized by my tall-ness, (or frozen in his tracks) I grabbed Senator Stuart Adams and asked for him to join us in a double Senator/County Clerk picture. Funny thing.....I really did "grab" Senator Adams because he, coincidentally, took the above picture so when he handed me back my camera, I kinda just "grabbed" him by his coat sleeve and dragged him into this photo worthy stance and and told him to smile. That's right dad---just doing what I gotta do to keep you proud--even if it mean shovin' around a couple of high powered Senators!
I capped off my political start studded day with a pic with the new Mayor/that guy whose house I used to spend half teenage years at and super cool City Council Member Betz who just may be my political soul sister. She was diggin' all the political excitement of this day as I was. And seriously, where else are you going to find a couple of tall elected gals like us?

Aaron's makeover

Poor Aaron Jean is going to get the reverse make-over.
First we'll get him glasses.
Then we'll slap some braces on those teeth'.
And then we just might do something with that crazy hair of his.

It's hard being the second born.

Christmas Round 2

When Timmy has to work on Christmas day, we get to celebrate Christmas with Grandpa Tim and Grandma Margy on the day after Christmas. We like to consider it "Round Two". The boys got grown-up binoculars that came with these little telescopes.
All of us got new jackets.
Which the boys absolutely love! I think I have washed theirs three times already because they have worn them till they were gross.
Poor Timmy could barely keep his eyeballs open for our round two but he was a good sport.
This was the best shot that I could get of the gift basket that we put together for Tim and Margy. We filled a basket with gift cards to a bunch of restaurants in Layton so they could go out to dinner. I did a cute little shrink wrap on the basket---I was a shrink wrap virgin and was pretty impressed with how it turned out. I wished I would have got a better picture of the basket before she opened it.
